Affordable Housing
We aim to provide housing for everyone
Affordable housing when implemented as part of a comprehensive development can assist all groups of society. From the young setting out, trying to get their feet on the property ladder, right through to the elderly requiring extra care.
Within each development phase an affordable housing provision will respond to the known demands of the local community. These will contribute affordable rented accommodation and shared ownership housing.
Shared ownership provides the opportunity to purchase an initial share of the property (25% to 75%) this can be stair-cased over time to 100%. Ownership, coupled with a subsidised rent is a (brilliant) proven way to get your feet on the property ladder.
We also envisage creating housing to cater for the elderly; many housing associations are embarking on a new range of products such as Saxon Weald's Extra Care Range. This is purpose built accommodation that is future proofed for the passage through the elderly years allowing future adaptations to cater for the increased care demands whilst allowing people to stay in their home. We see this being on a purchase or rented basis.
Our goal is to allow people to stay in the village through all their years should they want to, and fully enjoy its wonderful range of offerings! Is it wrong to create and nurture a family environment?
