Traffic: Problems & Solutions
We aim to improve traffic through the village of Pease Pottage

We all recognise the current limitations and issues of the transport system within Pease Pottage and the further impact of additional residents.
The scale of the development allows a comprehensive solution, which is the only way of addressing the current issues. Subject to traffic studies we see the possible solutions as:
- Dissuading Horsham Commuter traffic
- traffic calming
- prioritizing traffic onto the Horsham Road by the creation of a new roundabout
- Easing access to the M23/A23
- new slip road for the services to A23 south
- Working with the Parish Council to reduce commuter traffic coming from Handcross
Many of these issues will be helped by the realignment of the A23, which has commenced. The development will contribute financially to the extension of bus services possibly Fastway. Our aim is to utilise the development to reduce these issues not increase them!
We want this development to be as sustainable as possible.
